This bed is indeed real wood- unfinished and so roughly sawn we had to sand it ourselves to avoid splinters and the bedding catching. The instructions were some of thr most complicated and unclear I have ever used ( I actually enjoy putting together flat pack furniture), it took two of us 5hrs in the end to complete. The fasteners struggled to fit correctly ( we had to use a mattel to it fitted together), there was an excessive amount needed (think more metal in the fame then wood now). The screw heads have changed shape by installation. The order of instructions wasn't very good. It would have been much easier to attached the slat holding battons before the bedframe was put together and upright. We have kept it as so send it back would be just as long as to take it apart! Absolutely awful bed. I started with the headboard and didn't go any further. Dowel holes don't line up so it wasn't straight. Screw holes didn't line up so ended up splitting the wood. The timber itself is very flimsy and badly glued together. I would suggest the bed frame looked to be the same build quality and would be unlikely to hold any real weight without breaking. Might be ok for a spare room to look at but as a bed for daily use this fall's way below the mark.. Anonymous. Tue Jul 11 2023

Awful purchase, all the little parts were poorly matched and part were missing. We got a replacement but it was the same issue. We tried as much as we could and ended up with a wobbly bed. Due to the pressure of moving house with kids, could be asked to replace again. The Purdie’s actually not visible on my account and therefore we could leave a review u Tim now, 3 mi the later! All those who dream of a truly royal bedroom can now fulfill their dreams. This canopy is a high wooden bed with a structure prepared to hang a canopy. It is really beautiful and extremely solid. Despite its size, this piece of furniture has a rather slender silhouette. The high legs of the bed, which are quite wide in the lower part, are designed in such a way as to narrow it down to the top. The height of the sideboards and the space under the bed create an impression of lightness, although it is quite a heavy piece of furniture. This canopy bed is equipped with a high headrest on which you can comfortably support your pillow. The height at which the mattress is located - over 40 cm - makes getting up from the bed very smooth and comfortable. This furniture is equipped with a standard mattress frame, which allows you to use the bed immediately after its assembly and arrangement. Unlike similar furniture available on the market, this canopy bed was made entirely of solid wood combined with the so-called "micro trailers". Such a way of joining wood elements allows to make the furniture to materials be completely free of knots and blemishes and increases its strength and resistance to moisture - the furniture does not warp. Moreover, thanks to this, the bed has a uniform structure and is even more beautiful. This canopy bed is supported by 4 thick legs. At the top, they are connected by 4 solid crossbars with a cross-section.
