Engineered entirely from hardwood for quick, clean assembly. This timber from sustainable sources is knot-free and when painted white does not age with knot stains leeching through the paint leaving unsightly brown marks. It makes a very stylish and reliably strong bed suitable for all age groups. The side rails are constructed by using the process called “LVL” which is an engineered timber and is known as structural composite lumber and now often used for joists.

Delivery was on time; bed appears solid, well made and of good colour. Went together fairly easily, however each side of the bed had no pilot holes where the central middle metal bar was supposed to be attached. The bar was a little short in length (5-8mm), meaning the screws had to be fitted at a slight outward angle to prevent them splitting the wood they were being screwed into.. Tim L. West Mids. The bed is beautiful and decent quality. It does creak and squeak when tossing and turning. After reading other reviews about the screws coming out we decided to use locktite. This was actually the third bed that was sent to me. The first one was damaged in shipment (never delivered) and the second one didn’t come with hardware. We contacted the manufacturer of the bed they didn’t have any hardware in stock. Wayfair customer service was very lovely and sent a new bed frame.
