The slatted floor of the woodstore aids airflow to encourage logs to dry and to prevent damp. Plus, the unit is raised on bearers to protect the unit and the logs from damp. Fixings and instructions are included for a simple self-assembly.

I purchased this as we had an inset woodburner installed last year and, because (our existing outbuilding was already full of other clutter - yeah, I know, how does that happen?) we needed additional space to store fuel to see us through the colder months. This was delivered considerately by a decent chap, he even made sure it was placed somewhere easy for me to unpack yet away from prying eyes. I decided to give it a coat of garden paint in advance, then assembled it a day later. Took me an afternoon to do this but very simple, instructions are a doddle, and everything you need is there. Helps if you have someone to lend a hand to get the panels secured upright but can be done on your Todd if you are savvy enough. Just make sure you construct on a firm flat surface and face it so the back is to the prevailing wind. We managed to fit 1.8 cubic metres of kiln dried split logs inside with room to spare and it showed no signs of stress on the structure. I fitted waterproof groundsheet to cover the front against any driving rain (roll up/drop down wrapped around a garden stake) and moisture getting into the wood. This item is sturdy and pretty good quality and holds much more than I thought. However, the instructions are Devils Spawn difficult. The holes don't match up easily. It’s a basic, no frills logstore. Easy to assemble. Took well under an hour with a decent cordless screwdriver. Simple design but should do the job and keep the rain off of the logs and allow plenty of air to circulate. Relatively sturdy. There are plenty of more robust and certainly more elegant options out there. This meets my requirements at a relatively reasonable price. One thing to watch is that the supplied screws are borderline too long so you can end up with the sharp tip protruding in some places if you aren’t careful. Arrived incredibly late from the date I ordered though I wasn’t too-disappointed, & I understood there was an issue of stock & availability. Comes fully constructed, suitably boxed, and delivered with care & attention from DHL. The item is robust, the joints are mainly flush, the wood suitably seasoned. My intention was to felt the overlapped roof but on-viewing it may not be possible? Will be able to paint the body of the unit though to match the rest of the colouring in my garden.
