I wanted this trash bin because of the handle bar open. Motion sensor was out of the question for me because of my narrow kitchen and I shied away from step cans because of accidental opens. It looks good but the steel is thin, thinner than cheaper trash cans I've seen for 1/3 the price. The first one I received had a big dent on the edge. The box and shipping box were not damaged. The second one I received was perfect. The handle bar and manual closing becomes tedious and I wish I opted for a step can. Very well made and thoughtfully designed. The bin feels stable and well-balanced, with no tilting or sliding during use. The lid closes quietly, and the overall appearance is clean, modern, and attractive. The only thing I wish were different is that when changing the liner, the lid opening is closer to 80 degree rather than 90 degree when lifted with the liner rim. This can make removing a full bag a little awkward, sometimes requiring you to slightly tilt the bin towards you to pull the liner out more easily. Aside from that, it's an excellent product..
