This bin has replaced my waste bin, a box that I put plastic and glass in & a bag for paper & card. It has tidied up the kitchen and looks great. I wanted this trash bin because of the handle bar open. Motion sensor was out of the question for me because of my narrow kitchen and I shied away from step cans because of accidental opens. It looks good but the steel is thin, thinner than cheaper trash cans I've seen for 1/3 the price. The first one I received had a big dent on the edge. The box and shipping box were not damaged. The second one I received was perfect. The handle bar and manual closing becomes tedious and I wish I opted for a step can. Looks flimsy when all the parts are taken out of the box, but once assembled it stands up well (in all senses of the phrase). Sensor function works very well and is very satisfying to use. Just as I expected! We've had a 13 Gallon Brabantia for our kitchen for many years and debated on this one, thinking it might be a bit much for a bathroom.
