Actual, rating is 4.5 STARS due to lack of durable sheetrock anchors for install. If you use those provided for your install, you will not get good long term function. Love that this shelf is sturdy. The design allows for holding books or similar weighty items unlike most floating shelves. The almost 10 depth also makes it deeper than your average floating shelf. For install you will need a level and to substitute for a metal sheetrock anchor if not able to mount to a stud. You will then have a pretty and functional shelf worth the whole 5 STARS.. Mary Jo. The fittings that come with the shelf are unsuitable for a wall fitting. They are not wallplug screw washer, but they would require to drill through a thin wall and fix it from the back. The holes to hang the shelf are so big that it is hard to find a screw that would hold it. Washers are not part of the package. I do not recommend.. Anonymous. Sat Apr 25 2020
