While the basket looks attractive, I have been very disappointed with its quality. It sheds a significant amount of material, leaving debris wherever it is placed. Even with minimal use, small pieces continually break off, creating a mess and making it unsuitable for practical storage. Fantastic basket! I had a beautiful oak desk that I wanted to repurpose as a sideboard, but, of course, there was a gap in the middle that needed to be filled! So, I had the idea that a basket or baskets could provide extra storage whilst disguising the gap. This single large lidded basket was a fantastic find from Wayfair! What I love about it is that it almost completely fills the opening and the eye no longer reads that space as somewhere a chair should go. It genuinely looks like an oak sideboard with integrated basket storage. I added some backlighting and a few knick-knacks and am truly delighted with the outcome. From ordering to delivery was a very easy process and received very quickly. The Box was received very well packaged with no chance of any damage ie corners well protected and three lots of packaging with the outer layer being a heavy duty cardboard box. Very pleased with this item as it met my requirements as it is well made and of good quality. Slight niggle on my part the handle staples on the inside of the box need to be covered as they are sharp but I will tape them myself. Also the base of the box is thinner plywood and so not acacia and not as strong or secure as the rest of the box.
