Easy to assemble & used for a number of books, plants, etc. Regarding a few negative comments about these from others, there is a step of about 5-6mm between the base & the sides but this is to facilitate space for the hanging fixtures attached to the end panels. It is barely noticeable when the shelves are hung. The colour is a very dark grey. Don't expect a mid or silver grey, they are dark! Appreciate there are a lot of pieces to this product, however make note that it does not provide any screws for you to fix to the wall, and better yet there is no template available to help you fix it to the wall, you better hope that you have a measuring tape, a level and a lot of patience/time to make sure you install it properly!
