I wanted this trash bin because of the handle bar open. Motion sensor was out of the question for me because of my narrow kitchen and I shied away from step cans because of accidental opens. It looks good but the steel is thin, thinner than cheaper trash cans I've seen for 1/3 the price. The first one I received had a big dent on the edge. The box and shipping box were not damaged. The second one I received was perfect. The handle bar and manual closing becomes tedious and I wish I opted for a step can. I love this trash can! The last one I had that fit the same J trash bags would always scrape the side of my refrigerator. This one is designed better to sit flush against something and not affect what it is sitting by. It also, is very sleek and goes with the appliances in my kitchen. Needed a bin with large capacity that fits in a very small area in my kitchen. This was the only bin I could find online that fit the width I needed with a large capacity and I’m so glad it comes with other benefits like the no finger prints and germs feature. I couldn’t be happier with this trash can. I ordered a second for recycling! My old SimpleHuman can left black marks on the wall that drove me crazy but this one doesn’t touch the wall at all.
