This mattress is amazing. It arrived in a box as stated and I opened it and put it on the base as suggested. It was vacuum sealed which made it easy enough for one person to get out. The mattress came with its own tool to cut the plastic off. As I got halfway through cutting the plastic the mattress sprung to life. Over the course of the next few hours it grew until it was 30cm deep. The quality of the mattress is excellent. Very good value for money. I cannot fault this mattress at all. Bought this due to lower back pain. Was a little unsure if it would be firm enough, but its great, i would describe it as medium/firm. It arrived well packed in plastic and was easy to manoeuvre upstairs, it opened up easily, I placed it onto the frame after 48 hours and have now slept on it for a week. Not had 1 single pain. Very good price and even if it lasts only a couple of years, I've got a bargain and I know that a change of mattress was all that was needed. Update April 2026: This mattress was purchase in Nov 2021 and now it's been rendered useless as there is a massive dip in the middle. On both sides as I tried flipping it as well. Can't use it at all. It was not roughly used or jumped on as it was in a loft bed. I am quite disappointed that it has ended life in 4 years. I wouldn't expect mattresses to does this quickly.. The mattress was well packaged and expanded quickly after unwrapping. There wasnt any strong smell, so I was happy to start using it the same day. After sleeping on it for a few weeks, Im even happier with it than I was at first. The medium firmness gives excellent support, and even the edges feel stable without much sinkage. One unexpected bonus is that the height matches my babys cot perfectly, which makes night-time feeds and lifting my baby in and out much easier.
