I purchased the red one due to offer £95. The colour was more of a burgundy which is not a problem. I don’t believe the seat is genuine leather, nor would I expect it to be at that price. I think it is more likely PU The seat pad is not thick as described or as comfortable as my last office chair. The lumber support is ok. The quality of finish, of the parts could be better. However, the chair looks good and comfortable for short periods of time for me. I would not want to work for 8 or more hours a day homeoffice on it. Easy to assemble just be careful with the back rest, leave the arm rests loose until you have all the bolts in for the back rest and tighten all together. For the money you will be hard pushed to get much better. The last one I bought from Staples was in 2015 and cost circa £175, more comfortable and that was facing leather now looked a mess, hence this purchase. I will see how it wares.. Anonymous. Very pleased with the Messina chair. The most impressive thing is the general build quality, everything feels incredibly solid and well constructed. Instructions for assembly are simple and the screws are stored in letter coded blister packs meaning step by step assembly is easy. Be warned, the chair is very heavy and so two people will be needed to assemble it completely. I needed two people to lift the product into our 2nd story apartment. Quality feels excellent and there's a huge range of adjustments. Only two minor points 1) the lumbar cushion is not fixed and falls off more often than not and 2) the covering of the actual seating part is a little "loose" and doesn't comfort to the cushioning underneath - after a week's use there's a sign of stretch in the fabric. This is a great chair for the price, it has issues but mostly in places that it doesn’t matter. I don’t think you will find a better chair if you are tall and want full back support,want height adjustment, tilt/rock function and adjustable arm rests, and it provides these well. It’s comfy and moves silently (a must for me being next to my baby’s room) and I’ve already put many hours in on this seat. Now for issues, the plastic casing/shroud on the seat is extremely thin and was cracked on mine upon arrival, an entirely cosmetic defect though, the handle/locking mechanism for the tilt adjustment can be very loud, i have oiled it and it’s been a lot better since, the rock function is nice although it doesn’t lock in the back position (like other chairs) meaning rock function is On or Off and locked into standard position, finally the wings on the seat do cut in a tiny bit (I’m a hefty guy) but not much, if I had bought this to watch movies in it may be an issue but I’m always playing games. Has to be said none of the issues have cause me any significant problems, and I am very happy with the chair. TL;DR - A great all-rounder for a pc chair, cheap price means some cheap areas are cheap quality but not in any area that affects functionality and I would recommend this chair for PC gamers.. I’ve given this 4 stars as a part was damaged on arrival. However, it wasn’t a significant part so I didn’t complain. I was happy to receive the chair a week earlier than expected, though I still had to wait 2 weeks but given there must be lots of homeworkers wanting chairs due to covid, I didn’t mind. The instructions were pretty basic with no writing at all, just pictures, but I managed to figure it all and assemble on my own. There were no instructions for the levers in that to raise the seat level, you have to stand up first. The backrest moves backwards when you move the lever but doesn’t lock into position. A high-quality popular everyday operator ergonomic office chair that looks similar to market alternatives but has upgraded foam density, thicker foam, and a hard-wearing fabric back and seat. The permanent contact back mechanism means the seat can move up and down and the back of the chair can be tilted and locked to find a position that suits, or left to free float and be in permanent contact with your back.

I’ve not tried it for long yet but it seems very comfortable so far, and good value for money. A doddle to put together - I didn’t even need a screwdriver as there are no screws. It slotted together in under five minutes. The up and down mechanism works well and the tilts well too. The only reason I’m not giving it the full five stars is that there’s no retaining screw on the back, which means if you move it by the back it can slide up a bit but it’s not a big issue.
