Very pleased with the Messina chair. The most impressive thing is the general build quality, everything feels incredibly solid and well constructed. Instructions for assembly are simple and the screws are stored in letter coded blister packs meaning step by step assembly is easy. Be warned, the chair is very heavy and so two people will be needed to assemble it completely. I needed two people to lift the product into our 2nd story apartment. Quality feels excellent and there's a huge range of adjustments. Only two minor points 1) the lumbar cushion is not fixed and falls off more often than not and 2) the covering of the actual seating part is a little "loose" and doesn't comfort to the cushioning underneath - after a week's use there's a sign of stretch in the fabric. I’ve given this 4 stars as a part was damaged on arrival. However, it wasn’t a significant part so I didn’t complain. I was happy to receive the chair a week earlier than expected, though I still had to wait 2 weeks but given there must be lots of homeworkers wanting chairs due to covid, I didn’t mind. The instructions were pretty basic with no writing at all, just pictures, but I managed to figure it all and assemble on my own. There were no instructions for the levers in that to raise the seat level, you have to stand up first. The backrest moves backwards when you move the lever but doesn’t lock into position.
