Good height for my almost-four year old (not as high as a regular bunk bed). Perfect in her small room as it creates more floor space - and adds a den underneath! Took a while to build and a few holes needed adjustment for it to all fit together properly but overall good quality. The bed was damaged in two places, the instructions were in German for a different bed and I had to beg the delivery people to put the two heavy packages in our hall rather than leave them outside..
