This is a sturdy piece of furniture and fits our needs perfectly since my husband has continued to work from home. However, I would have liked the Tower piece to have the option of a shelf and for the separate pieces to be absolutely flush next to each. This is a nice desk with decent quality of wood that has weight and a nice finish to it. The instructions are optimistic at an hour build time. It took me about 3 hours in all as fitting the top lid was tough due to the weight. There is slight movement in the desk but it is sturdy enough for computer use. It is closed with a 4 mm MDF board roller-shutter tambour door. It comes with an ABS plastic handle, locker with key, and cable hole. The top compartment is for the screen and printer/scanner.
