Dining and occasional furniture with a unique curved finish.

Good quality and finish, matching the Torquay extending dining table well. One criticism - the seat pads. They are so dark brown as to appear almost black. Also they are very rounded and, being very firm, you almost feel perched on them , rather than sinking into them a little, which would be more comfortable. Maybe they'll soften in time.. Martin. GB. The piece of square wood that forms the chair seat is made from natural elm. Interlocked grain and slightly coarse texture create an earthy juxtaposition to the metal frame. The chair legs have a hairpin design and its high back is angled to provide a relaxed seating position.

A disappointment. At just shy of £100 each we expected these wooden chairs to be of a decent quality. However, all 4 of the chairs which we ordered had a split across the seat. Strangely, the seat isn't made of a single piece of wood, but instead is several small planks joined (glued?) together. Each has split along one of these joins. If you're happy to put a seat pad or cushion on, they'll be fine (assuming the cracks aren't sufficient to cause the seat to break) but we expected better for the price.. Rhian. Windsor, GB.
