Yes a lot of assembly, the table was difficult as nothing lined up!! I've been building furniture for the past 38yrs. So am able to find a way around things, but in all honesty, the majority of the public will struggle. It was difficult bending the metal into position, will it last? Heaven knows. But advert should state difficulty is assembling for those who are not quite capable in putting furniture together & there are many out there. Do like it though. A very nice set, a bit smaller than thought it would be, and no hole for the parasol, but the longer we have the more we like, it looks a delight, and easy to move to different places, when I was cutting the hedge a lot of work, this was great to move to the front garden, for a glass of water and later a cup of tea, looks great out the front and the back too. Very pleased with this dining set, my hubby put it all together in about half an hour. Seems good quality for the price and it definitely adds to our decking area - I plan to add a few accessories soon, some cushions and a rug which will complete the look...now if only summer would return! :-) (the only thing we would say is to aid others building the single chairs, the back panels seem like they aren't wide enough, but once the bolts are tightened in, they are absolutely fine).
