We bought the pergola to provide shade over our hot tub. It has the added bonus that if we lower the front panel it gives us complete privacy from neighbouring properties. It wasn’t the easiest thing for two people to build because of its size. There were two different sets of instructions neither of which were particularly clear. This arbour is a slightly offset hexagonally shaped building, please see the plan drawing for dimensions. It is manufactured from high grade, slow grown, FSC northern European pine. The building is supplied with a dip treated base coat preservative ready for top coating in your choice of either wood paint or stain immediately on installation. The roof and walls are 12 mm shiplap with a 19 mm timber floor; all framing is 34 mm square. Roof felt, assembly instructions and fixings included.
