The mesh filter initially scraped against the sides when actuated, which was unpleasant. After using it a few times I no longer notice this at all. The finish on the edge of the spout (in contact with anything poured) is chipped slightly - leaving a dark, rough edge. Otherwise a generally very solid construction with decent welds. The pour is very nice (rotate the lid into the correct position). The lid is not at risk of moving during pour and does not need holding down - I have tested filling it and turning it completely upside-down with no issue (your experience may vary).. Anonymous.
