I absolutely love this light fitting. It's elegant and contemporary, whilst still fitting in with our antique furniture. We bought it to sit above our dining table. We were warned it was very long, but we managed to remove most of the chain and shorten the cable and it looks fabulous. My husband is good with electrics so if you aren't, get in an electrician to help. We bought dimmable visible filament LED bulbs. We use the light on full or dimmed . I can't tell you how AMAZING this light looks up! Everyone has commented, including the electrician that they have never seen anything like it! I must warn you that it is HUGE (I have the 28 light version) so please make sure you measure carefully the space for which this beauty is intended! I bought the same bulbs as in the picture-silver crown bulbs and I really do think this is the best option as I think the light could be too overpowering with totally clear bulbs. Antique Brass

Looks as good as the pictures once installed. Cast's a great light pattern as well. Knocked it down to 4 stars for 2 reasons: It comes with halogen bulbs 30w x 3 - That's 90w! 20 years ago that was acceptable. Not any more - had to buy replacement bulbs - we don't need it bright so I've installed 3w led bulbs (x3) that's 10% of the original bulb power. If I'd wanted the same brightness I could have installed 7w leds for a total of 21 w. The second issue was the difficulty in shortening the cable. Owing to it being a clear cable (and I'm not convinced that it's the right thing for brass light). the internal wires all look identical which mean that the cable could not just be cut but needed the outer stripping back to the right place without loosing the LN& e labels on the wires..
