The Corona Narrow 6 Drawer Chest, the chest of drawers is expertly crafted from solid pine and hand waxed to preserve as well as enhance the grain. It offers outstanding value for money with 6 drawers that would be a welcome addition to any room. It is finished off with black metal fittings which give the item its distinctive Mexican styling and offers that warm rustic country charm. The item has hardboard backs and drawer bases, its delivered flat packed for easy home assembly with step-by-step instructions.

The overall look of the unit is good, though a little awkward on the sequence for construction with the drawer rails difficult to fit after putting the frame together. The worst part is actually the tolerances in construction, with 0.5 mm mis alignment in the frame. However, most of the drawers are badly made with only one fitting together without a problem. The others end up with excess wood sticking out and stopping the drawers from sliding in to the unit. Measurement shows up to 2mm difference in the recesses also some of the pre drilled holes for the drawer sides are not in line and the screws fail to go in the required direction, just catching the edge of the wood causing it to split. To complete building this will require remedial extra work to make the required adjustments. If you are not up to the required wood work please do not buy, you will just be frustrated by the result. The wax lifts the grain of the wood creating a distressed rustic look. 3 standard drawers and one deeper bottom drawer combine to provide you with generous storage options. The four drawers all feature decorative molded fronts, with real dovetail joints for extra stability, and glide on wooden runners with drawer stops to prevent them from being over-extended. Gorgeous chest of drawers. Was quite difficult to put together- no pre-drilled holes so you have to make sure you’re putting the screws in the correct place. The drawers themselves were also smaller than expected. However this really is a beautiful piece, very sturdy and a good fit for my room- tall and slim. Ciara. Sutton, GB. Sun Aug 15 2021

Our classic country-style wood narrow chest of drawers is generously proportioned with 5 useful drawers and a chunky solid top with a profiled edge. Finished in an antique wax with matching wooden handles.

Finished unit is good. Assembling it was not as easy as expected. The dowels are too small and constantly fall out while trying to use them in assembly. Most of screws are too thick for the holes provided / both these issues made assembly challenging. Unit is built with some modifying work done by us to overcome the problems - it does look ok thought and is a good solid set of drawers. Will not buy anything that needs home assembly.. Elizabeth.
