An extremely attractive potting shed with a handy bench; as its name suggests the Sun Hut is designed for maximum light! The 8 x 4 Sun Hut has four, joinery made windows, all opening and glazed with toughened glass. The shiplap cladding is 12mm slow grown, very high grade FSC approved pine on sturdy 34mm square framing with both floor and roof also in T&G. The framed double door is fitted with a padbolt. Roof felt, assembly instructions and a fixing kit are provided. The shed is finished with a honey brown basecoat preservative treatment ready for top coating immediately on installation to your choice of wood paint or stain. (Imperial measurements are rounded so please refer to the metric sizes for accuracy). Allowance should be made for the roof overhang and for access around the outside during construction and subsequent treatment. Following your order, you will be sent a link to choose your delivery day. On the morning of delivery day you will also receive live tracking information. Before you assemble your building, you will need a base which is flat and level to a sufficient size. Grass, soil or gravel are not sufficient as they will move with the weight of a building.

A bit flimsy, but I knew that from the description - 38mm structural timber - if I was building one myself, I'd use 2x2 minimum. It assembled easily and had all the necessary bits & pieces, screws, nails etc. I would struggle to buy just the materials for the price of the shed, and then have the time & hassle of building it from scratch - all in all it's a bargain!. This shed looks great once built, however when delivered some parts were damaged, had white paint and screws in parts that didnt require it, but speaking to wayfair customer service they managed to sort something out for us. Whilst building the shed the small panel was uneven and made the overal roof uneven when putting boards on top but as we decided to change the direction of the roof slant, we managed to cover it with the roof felt which doesnt look so bad, once covered. The shed does require you to put silicone on the windows which you have to purchase seperatly but overall once built looks great, and as a bonus has a key lock for extra protection. On a positive note, I'm delighted with my shed. It is larger than expected and meets my needs perfectly. It is of solid build and of smart appearance, a tasteful addition to our outbuildings. The 10 x 8 foot shed took two suitably experienced men nine hours to put up, but this could have been shortened. There were some unnecessarily time-consuming issues. For example, two of the floor joists were not flush and had to be taken up, re-cut, and reassembled. Also, our flat-pack contained 2 or 3 unnecessary items (e.g., a narrow role of felt, and several redundant bits of wood). This caused us to waste further time trying to figure out where these surplus items were meant to be placed (the instructions and video demo weren't any help). The video was generally valuable, but it showed a smaller, simpler shed assembly, which wasn't much help for the 8 x 10 foot shed under construction. One final gripe: whilst Power Sheds clearly state in their sales literature that the delivery is 'kerbside delivery only', our driveway opens onto a narrow country lane with no kerb or pavement. Therefore, I had expected that the delivery would be made onto our wide driveway (every lorry in the 20 years we've lived here has been able to reverse into our property). But the delivery driver declined to reverse in and instead tried in vain to use the puny hand operated fork-lift to move the pallet into our property (it was unable to travel over the stone chippings). As a result, the pallet was left awkwardly abutting the lane, presenting a hazard to traffic. In summary, I would constructively suggest that greater care is taken when cutting the shed sections and also when preparing the flat pack assembly components. As for the delivery company, maybe a smaller lorry might work for properties with gravel/chipping driveways? Overall though, the issues were overcome and I'm delighted with the shed. Many thanks..
