The top and bottom sections do not clip together at all well, and I have had to wire them together to keep them fixed. On one section there is a split in the plastic side, which unfortunately I only noticed when it was nearly together.. Anonymous. Wigton, GB. Mon Feb 08 2021

This product is really poor - I am about to give up on it. I have spent several hours trying to assemble it, but the instructions are unclear (hard to differentiate between the posts, nothing is labelled) and the wooden pegs are too small and go right into the hole so you then can't get them out, the metal bits (that the screws fit in) are too big and don't fit in the holes. The wood has split in a couple of places, and after frustratingly trying to assemble it I have only managed to do one side. I don't recommend it and am very very disappointed in this product given its cost.. Stephanie. London, GB. Fri Aug 18 2023

We were impressed by the design of these modular compost bins; they incorporate a host of features for keen composters! Can be assembled in minutes - no nails, screws or holes to dig. Slide-out panels on all sides for easy access. 573 litres (20 cu.ft.) capacity per module. Wood provides good insulation, while allowing the compost to ‘breathe’.

Description says 4 posts and 20 panels, but it is an extension set with 2 posts and 15 panels, and useless unless you buy the main one for £147.. Anonymous. Sun Jul 06 2025

Delivery was great and tracking information supplied throughout the process. A little confused on the name of this compost bin. Sold as a Sako but its a VidaXL but is as the image shows. Plastic is of good quality and will with stand cold and hot on first impression. Instructions on assembly are not the greatest but only a few ways this bin can go together and soon get the hang of it. As my bin is 1000L I'll be filling this for a while and seeing how it holds up this winter. Advert states it comes with a base, it doesn't and advised Wayfair of this issue. Careful when cutting the door openings and the groves which the door/hatches slots into are easy to snap off.. Kevin. Wales. Fri May 14 2021

Despite assurances that I would be able to track the delivery it arrived unexpectantly while the house was unoccupied and was left with a neighbour. The composter was just a collection of wooden battens cut to length, various screws, hinges and assembly instructions. I am fairly competent at assembling such things but it was a fiddly job with no pre-drilled holes so I feel that the web site description should emphasise that assembly of the composter does require a certain level of competency. Overall though I am quite pleased with my purchase which looks and performs a lot better that the plastic "Dalek" type bin.. Michael. Grimsby, GB. Mon Jun 20 2022

Easy to assemble, this black plastic slatted composter is an efficient way to create beautiful, rich compost. Measuring 120cm tall by 65cm deep & wide, the bin will hold up to 500 litres of material, with the slatted gaps allowing constant aeration of the compost. This in turn makes for quicker breakdown of organic material and a quicker supply of black gold. The lid flips open for ease of filling and access for turning. The compost bin comes complete with four green sliding panels, one for each side allowing easy access to the finished material; it is not necessary to use all four Coming flat packed, this composter does require home assembly - however the pieces simply slot together and the only tool required is to cut out the hole for the access flaps; these are clearly marked though and the the tabs can be easily cut with scissors.

This 800 litre compost bin will enable you to produce your own humus-rich soil for the garden. The special construction and dark colour combine to produce a higher inner temperature than in other conventional composters.
