This is a great desk for the price…. As long as you can manage realistic expectations. It took me around two hours to build solo… it’s pretty straightforward and all of the holes are pre-drilled so it’s easy to line it all up. The wood looks pretty, as long as you don’t look too closely, because then you can see the scuffs. At the end of the day, it’s cheap veneered wood and that’s reflected in the price… but it does the job and looks to be a higher spec quality than it is. The instructions are mostly easy to follow, but there is an error around parts 4 on the drawer section and it took me a while to work out why it didn’t fit. As a consequence, the back didn’t line up properly… it’s not a dealbreaker, but it was a time suck and frustrating. All in all, I would recommend this desk. The large worktop can be folded down gently thanks to two high-pressure dampers. Behind the door are a practical laptop compartment and a storage shelf. Side pockets, which are also suitable for a PC, and shelves behind the worktop expand the storage space of the Haefner.

Really like this desk. It does indeed take 2 people and a few hours to assemble, but it is cleverly designed to fit in a small space. If possible it'd be rated 4.5 because additional materials to bracket it to the wall are not included. I love this little desk! It fits in perfectly with the rest of our living room and although it took about 1hr40mins to put together, it was worth it. When it arrived, one of the panels was slightly damaged (in view) but we contacted Wayfair and a replacement panel is on its way. The desk is study and a good size. I would have preferred the small shelf underneath to be slightly wider so that I could’ve put my printer under rather than on top but it’s not the end of the world and we’ll probably get a white printer instead.
