The large 405 litre capacity and an open base (.75mm x .82mm) that helps to produce internal heat which makes compost faster, ensures this is a really practical purchase. The lid opens on either side and folds back on itself for easy removal in order to churn the compost and allowing gardeners to easily harvest the compost from the lower hatch (500m x 270mm). Narrow gaps in the side panels allows air to circulate in the composter whilst keeping the rain out. The angled ‘cant cut’ timber boards (90mm x 20mm) keeps the waste inside hidden and out of sight as well as having a more modern aesthetic and aids ventilation. It would be nice to have better instructions it is not workable the steps are all over the place and kept falling apart I ended up having to put all the iron work on first to hold it together before putting top and bottom on this part is not good the metal work is just the same I will have to devise a similar method to do so not happy once made it looks good it mite last a couple years before metal work rust away..
