I purchased the red one due to offer £95. The colour was more of a burgundy which is not a problem. I don’t believe the seat is genuine leather, nor would I expect it to be at that price. I think it is more likely PU The seat pad is not thick as described or as comfortable as my last office chair. The lumber support is ok. The quality of finish, of the parts could be better. However, the chair looks good and comfortable for short periods of time for me. I would not want to work for 8 or more hours a day homeoffice on it. Easy to assemble just be careful with the back rest, leave the arm rests loose until you have all the bolts in for the back rest and tighten all together. For the money you will be hard pushed to get much better. The last one I bought from Staples was in 2015 and cost circa £175, more comfortable and that was facing leather now looked a mess, hence this purchase. I will see how it wares.. Anonymous. This is honestly one of the most comfortable office chairs I have ever sat in, and I used to work at Staples so I know about office chairs. There's great lumbar support in the back, the leather is plush- luxurious feeling, and you can feel very confident in how sturdy it is (It is heavy metal with a brass finish, no painted plastic or veneer). OMG - the most comfortable chair ever, I love it. I bought this because it can be quite low, but it goes very high compared to my other office chair and I’ve just bought an oak desk that is 80 cm high and I’m very short so I couldn’t reach it properly. Super easy to assemble, although I will say they make the instructions more complicated than necessary by saying “make sure the I is placed on the H”. Basically, when assembly the seat base, put H on and assemble, then put I on, it’s that easy. Really comfortable chair with lumbar support cushion. Nice when sitting upright plus also when leaning back both when with and without the leg rest. The chair is perfect for sitting looking at the computer screen and watching the TV in my bedroom. The instructions were good and my nephew put the chair together in 45 minutes for me. One of the screws was very hard to put in. Leather is decent and not slippery. The construction is very sturdy, all metal. It's stiffer than I expected although that might change with time. Very pleased with the Messina chair. The most impressive thing is the general build quality, everything feels incredibly solid and well constructed. Instructions for assembly are simple and the screws are stored in letter coded blister packs meaning step by step assembly is easy. Be warned, the chair is very heavy and so two people will be needed to assemble it completely. I needed two people to lift the product into our 2nd story apartment. Quality feels excellent and there's a huge range of adjustments. Only two minor points 1) the lumbar cushion is not fixed and falls off more often than not and 2) the covering of the actual seating part is a little "loose" and doesn't comfort to the cushioning underneath - after a week's use there's a sign of stretch in the fabric.
