I seen several others using this chair for dining. So that's exactly what we did. Bought 2 of the red. Took about a week delivery from Mississippi to Seattle. Box's were a little tired but chairs were fine. The quality and engineering excellent. Very comfortable sitting. I put them together myself & have a hint for you. Test each screw before assembly. What I love about this Mesh Executive Chair is that lumbar support, that curve in the back hits my lower back and I feel so much relief. The chair can, like it says in the information get tall which I imagine would be great for a drafting table but our daughter loves to just ride up and down on it ) the mesh and black make it easy to clean..
