Turned out nice. Had this professionally installed and mounted the post in concrete blocks to give more stability. The metal pieces itself is lightweight aluminum but when connected together it’s sturdy. Only gripe are the shade connector poles. Their means of connecting could be improved because they slide off & disconnect from one another every now & then but so far holds up well with rain when shade is pulled back. Amazing Pergola! My Trex deck was in full sun and got hotter than two rats doing the dirty in a wool sock. Now I'm able to enjoy sipping on margaritas in the cool shade while grilling up a storm.
