Tower T978532 Kamado XL Ceramic Charcoal BBQ with Collapsible Wooden Shelves, Black

I bought the Tower XL egg vs other more famous ceramic green BBQ eggs , as the cost point was much better. The other eggs on the market were as much as £2k! The Tower XL egg is a very well made piece of kit. Is carefully delivered to you in strong protective wrapping. Its a solid unit that looks and feels like a premium product. I have used it multiple times since i bought it and it is great. Watched a few online tutorials in regards to grilling vs slow cooking and once you get used to operating the vents it is easy. The main reason why this is a 4 star and not a 5 it does not come with all the kit for slow cooking. The slow cook/smoke meats you need to have a deflector plate to enable in-direct cooking. I am flabbergasted for such a premium product they have missed this ; plus still claiming you can slow cook. Luckily there are deflectors on the market that you can use, even though they size they are for other eggs they fit this one. I used https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07DXT9NWR?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title Without this piece of equipment slow cooking is challenging. Overall great product , glad I bought it, i would recommend, however frustrating you have to buy additional kit to use slow cooking/smoking method (which isn't that expensive £80). Overall cost of the egg plus deflector is still better than 50% cheaper than the big green eggs or smoke Joes.. Andrewdouglas. Mon May 12 2025

The ceramic wall stores heat, staying warm for hours on end. Over the walls, it distributes the heat evenly and releases it into the interior. When the airtight lid is closed, the barbecue can reach temperatures of up to 350°C with minimal amounts of fuel. The charcoal barbecue can be used not only to barbecue food, but also to slow cook, bake or smoke. A thermometer in the lid always displays the temperature inside, making it easy to control the heat. The material and shape of the charcoal barbecue keep the cooking juices inside, so that meat doesn't dry out and can be served lovely and moist even after hours of cooking.
