The instructions for the assembly and installation of this product are beyond a simple DIY person.
Only experienced DIY people should takle this awning because:-
1. The instructions are in gibberish translated from chinese by a chinese person and do not make clear sence.
2. Some instructions are missing, particularly where to fasten the mounting brackets on the wall.
3. Where and how to mount the 'blockers'.
4. The fixing bolts for the brackets are not suitable for using with hollow bricks. New fixings had to be bought.
5. It is impossible to mount the unit on the wall once it has been completely assembled due to the weight and being able to mark and secure the bolts on the brackets.
6. The mounting brackets should be fixed with only the mounting bar, before the canvass and roller have been added to it.
7. The bolts to hold the unit to the brackets cannot be fitted as instructed because the roller and canvass obscure the holes for the bolts. They have to be inserted from below, not above as instructed.
