Descent chair bought to work from home. It was easy enough to assemble on my own. I now use it on a full time basis. I find it is comfortable and provides good back support. The adjustable armrests provide good support also and as a result my shoulder and neck pain is lessened. Very uncomfortable! the armrests are positioned too far out on the sides and in front so cannot rest my arms on them as it would be uncomfortable. I initially ordered a different chair from Wayfair that arrived broken and I was hesitant at the idea of getting an exact replacement for that chair (which I feared may too arrive broken). After a quick phone chat with a very helpful Wayfair Customer Support Representative, they offered me a 10% discount for the inconvenience, which I used to purchase this, more expensive chair. I had hoped that spending the extra might lead to better quality, at least over the previous cheaper one – fortunately I was right! I’m not sure if it’s just the lighting in the product images, but the back of the chair is not metallic/chrome as I had imagined from the pictures. It is very much Matt Black, still metal, but no shine. I’d say the images are slightly misleading, but I honestly like the Matt Black look which suits my dark desk setup. This chair is sturdy and well built. It weighs a lot… which is something to note if you have thick carpets, it’s not the easiest to roll around. Aside from that, it is comfortable, offers ample lumbar support and lots of adjustability to suit different body heights. I’m a tall guy (6ft 4”) and this seats me well, it goes plenty high and the back is supportive and comfortable for the length of my torso. Due to my height, I did not opt for the version of this that included the headrest, since in my experience the headrests tend to be way down my neck and are uncomfortable. In hindsight I should have gotten the headrest version, since the back is high enough that I imagine the headrest would genuinely level with my head and be a nice additional feature. I’m not sure if Wayfair are able to sell the headrest separately or if I could find it from a third-party supplier, but I might have a go at looking, since I think it would be worth getting. I’m giving this a rating of 4 stars, though that is more a reflection of the overall experience I had purchasing a new desk chair from Wayfair in general rather than on this product directly. No Headrest

Really pleased with delivery time and quality of chair. Lumbar support is a little low and can't be moved - but that's just for me. I’ve given this 4 stars as a part was damaged on arrival. However, it wasn’t a significant part so I didn’t complain. I was happy to receive the chair a week earlier than expected, though I still had to wait 2 weeks but given there must be lots of homeworkers wanting chairs due to covid, I didn’t mind. The instructions were pretty basic with no writing at all, just pictures, but I managed to figure it all and assemble on my own. There were no instructions for the levers in that to raise the seat level, you have to stand up first. The backrest moves backwards when you move the lever but doesn’t lock into position. Arrived really quickly, although theyre using Evri now - so be aware of that if youre not a fan. The chair itself is great! Easy enough to put together, fine for one person but better if two of you are doing it. The seat is comfortable and has a mesh fabric covering it, a little bit firm but molds to you. The arms arent adjustable but the back is, including how much you want the back indentation to be (its very slight though, so itll have to be a bit of trial and error until you get it right). The head rest tilts if you need it and sits comfortably at my 5ft 2in height (when seated), if youre shorter this may not be the case, if youre taller I think it can be adjusted higher but only by a little. It does recline, but not fully flat and it does make you feel like youre going to fall off but you dont! Really sturdy and the height adjustment is pretty good too. Our son is not heavy enough to lean back and recline but I have tried it and its super comfortable. The back of the chair seems to support in the right places and its nice to be able to relax into.
