I bought this a month ago and got it installed. Backyard Discovery did a great job with the instructions, really made building it go smoothly. The Pergola itself is awesome, the finish looks great on it and it feels like something way more high priced than we paid for. The quality of the steel is great on it and the opening and closing of the top works really well. We did struggle with the some concrete anchors breaking during the drilling and that was with using the recommended pilot hole and taping off the depth. I would recommend stronger concrete bolts. A brilliant addition to the garden — really impressed ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We've been looking for something to define our seating area in the garden without taking over the whole space, and this pergola is absolutely perfect. The 3m x 3m footprint is generous enough to feel like a proper outdoor room, but the 2.27m height keeps it proportionate rather than imposing — it really does make smart use of the space. Assembly was straightforward with two people. The instructions are clear and all the fixings were accounted for — we had it up without any drama in a couple of hours. Having a second pair of hands definitely helps when aligning the frame, but nothing about the process was difficult. The aluminium build feels genuinely solid and well-finished. It doesn't have any of the wobble you sometimes get with cheaper garden structures, and the powder-coated finish looks smart and clean. We're very happy with how it looks — it's given the whole area a much more pulled-together feel. For the price, this is exceptional value. The finished product looks really good. The issue is with the description which lists it as 24ft x 34ft !! Obviously not! Also lists it as canopy only!! Obviously not!! And finally lists it as made from plastic!! Again not ! It's a lightweight metal (maybe aluminium). The instructions are poor, and it is definitely a two man job. We have been using this for 2 years now. So this is a long term review. Assembly wasn't too difficult and my wife and I were able to do it without more help. Overall the quality is good and the paint has oxidized somewhat and there are some small rust spots but overall great. The shade is also good quality and very heavy duty. We're in Florida so I have to clean and pressure wash it every 6 months or so but it comes up pretty nice.
